Obama is planning to address the school children of our country on Sept. 8 in which many, undoubtedly, will be forced to watch. The speech is supposedly geared toward encouraging kids to stay in school and work hard, and that’s not unusual for a president to do. However, the Department of Education had suggested “classroom activities” to coincide with the president’s message, which are unusual and rightly troubling to many parents. The White House has since dropped a recommendation that students write a paper on “how to help the president” amid numerous complaints.

Students in grades pre-K-6, for example, were encouraged to “write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president.” Teachers could also “ask students to write down key ideas or phrases that are important or personally meaningful.” Or questions like “Why does President Obama want to speak with us today? How will he inspire us? How will he challenge us?”

It’s one thing to simply give a speech to encourage children to stay in school, but it’s quite another when encouraging children to become supporters of the president’s political agenda. Of course Obama will not be obvious about it, but he really doesn’t have to be when children are already being indoctrinated along similar ideology to his. The president will probably give a fairly benign speech, but the teachers and administrators will ratchet up the message to include support of his current agendas.

Obama’s views on education are in all likelihood aligned with that of radical and unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, with whom the president at one time had a working relationship. Ayers’ education philosophy is to use the schools as an apparatus to train a generation of radicals to change the U.S. social and economic system (into something socialist/Marxist). He also declared, “education is the motor-force of revolution.” You might be tempted to think that Ayers is, as Phyllis Schlafly points out, “on the outer fringe of the left-wing education establishment. However, his peers recently elected him to serve as vice president for curriculum in the American Education Research Association, the largest organization of education school professors and researchers.” The once respectable classical education system has given way to the extremists, as is evidenced by teachers using “their courses to promote socialist notions of wealth distribution, “social justice,” diversity and environmentalism, and to punish students who resist this indoctrination by giving them low grades or even denying them graduation.”

The timing of his speech is naturally suspect when this president is seeing plunging poll numbers and declining support for all his policies. But when radicals cannot convince the adults to accept their long discredited ideology, they naturally turn to the immature and trusting youth.

I wonder how many parents will decide their children are “sick” on Tuesday. Are there any conservative teachers in the public schools who would dare resist the indoctrination attempts or risk losing their jobs? I doubt it. If my children were still under 18 I would not hesitate to home school or send them to a good Christian school. Until that option is banned.

I THINK THAT E=IT SHOULD BE LEFT UP TO THE STUDENT BECAUSE THEY ARE THE FUTURE
