Obama is truly earning the reputation of being called president teleprompter, because without it he tends to be rather gaffe prone. During one of his health care town hall meetings, the president had another truth moment, where he let it slip how badly government runs things.
He said:
I think private insurers should be able to compete. They do it all the time. I mean, if you think about, if you think about it, um, UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. Right? The, uh, no they are. I mean, it’s the post office that’s always having problems.
So the government-run post office is “always having problems,” but he wants the government to take over the health care system, or rather now, to mandate insurance reforms. On top of a post office that is “always having problems,” bringing Social Security, Medicare, and Amtrak to the brink of bankruptcy, and causing the meltdown of the mortgage industry, our elites in Washington believe we should nonetheless trust them with ‘fixing’ our health care woes.
Yet, some people still do trust in government solutions, often to problems the government originally created. It’s a testimony to the power of a state-run education system and a complicit media.
