James Lee, the eco-extremist at Discovery Channel’s Maryland headquarters, was armed with guns and several bombs at the Silver Springs facility where he took three hostages. Turns out he was “awakened” by Al Gore’s grand work of fiction “An Inconvenient Truth.” This story ironically emerges as the establishment media constantly warns of alleged ‘right-wing’ violence. But in reality, most acts of political violence originate from the left in America, and this episode is no different.
This was not the first time Lee protested Discovery Channel. Court records show that Lee was arrested Feb. 21, 2008, on the sixth day of a protest at the Discovery building.
What little coverage the liberal media is giving to this man’s ideology is best described as a whitewash. CNN’s Rick Sanchez claimed that Lee may have been “well-meaning,” but “he may have taken [his cause] way too far on this day.” May have taken it too far? I guess it’s still uncertain for Rick. Notice how quickly the media looks for excuses and ways to contextualize away his eco-extremism as “well-meaning.” Of course, the media made no attempt to suggest the murderer of George Tiller, the abortion doctor, may have been “well-meaning.”
