This nearly $900 billion bill would be paid for by $483 billion in cuts to Medicare and other federal health programs, as well as tax increases. Of course the real costs will undoubtedly be much higher as the government is notorious for grossly underestimating costs. Not to mention this is the same government with a post office that is “always having problems,” as Obama even admitted. The same government that is bankrupting Social Security, Medicare, and Amtrak, but we should none-the-less trust the government to run medical care - that they can run.

Moreover, this bill would still leave 23 million people uninsured in 2019.

In addition to throwing seniors under the bus and leaving tens of millions uninsured after endlessly agonizing over those very same uninsured, government will now end up raising the costs of medical care, increase taxes on the middle class (after repeated assurances during the campaign that Obama would not raise taxes), ration care, lower the quality of care, and subject people to the general bureaucratic nightmare that will result from massive government meddling.

Democrats have even resorted to bribery in order to secure some votes. It seems the only ones who will benefit from a bill drafted behind closed doors, which most have not read, are corrupt politicians.
